Description

Students taking this course will learn about the cognitive changes in children from birth to age five. Emphasis is placed on the development of memory, cause and effect, and problem solving. Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to list the cognitive changes children undergo during the first five years of life, define early childhood development and identify developmental milestones and developmentally appropriate activities for young children.
