ProSolutions Training
The first few years of life, between conception and age five, are critical for healthy brain development. Researchers have discovered that early experiences shape brain development and lay the foundation for later learning.During this course we will review the basic structures of the brain as they relate to the development of the senses. Discuss the development of the senses and language as foundational abilities that affect many different areas of development. We will explore the importance of play and how it impacts brain development. Review the brain structure as it relates to attachment and consistency. We will also discuss how adult-child interactions set the foundation to form trust and how consistency impacts social, emotional, and cognitive development. Children who grow up in an environment that does not promote physical well-being may be exposed to toxic levels of stress that can have long-lasting negative effects. We will also review how a child's health, safety, and nutrition have important effects on brain development. Lastly, we will look at the relationship between physical well-being and brain development, including the effects of exposure to traumatic and stressful situations on children's developing brains.
